- kongetsu - this month (kon-get-soo)
- raigetsu - next month (rye-get-soo)
- saraigetsu - month after next (sah-rye-get-soo)

- sensengetsu - month before last (last last month) (sen-sen-get-soo)

Otanjoobi - (year) birthday

Itsu - when

A) Otanjoobi wa nan-gatsu desu ka? (what month is your birthday?)
B) Shichi-gatsu desu. (It's in July.)

A) Otanjoobi wa nan-nichi desu ka? (What day of the month is your birthday?)
B) Nijuuroku-nichi desu. (It's the 26th.)

A) Otanjoobi wa itsu desu ka? (When is your birthday?)
B) Shichi-gatsu nijuuroku-nichi desu. (It is July 26th.) (And yes, that IS my birthday ;) )

Otanjoobi omedetoo gozaimasu! - Happy Birthday! (Gozaimasu is added for politeness)
